Open House and "Coffee with Mr. Carter"

We will have our annual Open House on Monday, September 10th from 7-9PM. In a couple of days, your child will bring home a completed schedule for you to use as your map for the evening. It’s a great opportunity for you to hear from your child’s teachers regarding course expectations, etc. Each period is 10 minutes long with 6 minutes passing time between periods.
Due to the limited time, there will not be a lot of opportunity to discuss with the teachers individual concerns or questions in detail; therefore, you will be able to sign up for a Parent/Teacher conference before you leave the room, which are on October 1st and October 18th from 3:30-7:00 PM. Individual conferences are 15 minutes each.
During Open House, we will have a Showcase of clubs and other activities located in the lobby for you to find out what your child/children can get involved in. Additionally, you are encouraged to visit the Library for a Library Resources Presentation during a Study Hall or Lunch period time slot. It should be very informative!
In order to enhance communication between parents and school administration, our Parent Teacher Organization is hosting “Coffee with Mr. Carter” the second Monday of each month. The first “Coffee” is scheduled for Monday, September 10th from 6:45-7:25AM at Clark Hall room C225. I’ll share some general information about the school and will then answer questions in an informal setting. If you plan to attend, please park towards the wood fence along the west side of the parking lot. The other dates are as follows:
October 8, 2012
November 12, 2012
December 10, 2012
February 11, 2013
March 11, 2013
April 8, 2013
May 13, 2013
I look forward to seeing you at Open House and speaking with you at one of the “Coffee with Mr. Carter” conversations. Take care and until next time…
Be Great,
