Thursday, April 26th at 7:00, GLHS students will participate in the 4th annual Poetry Slam, sponsored by Writers’ Club. Poets will compete for five prizes, ranging from $25 to $100 Easton gift cards. In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Slam honors the art of poetry. Music during intermission will be provided by junior Meredith Brown. Refreshments will be in the lobby during the judging. Poetry is a positive outlet for students to voice their feelings. Currently, there are 15 entries. You are more than welcome to attend! I would like to thank English teacher and Writer's Club Advisor, Mrs. Dona Montgomery for organizing this outstanding event. It's clubs like this that help us create an environment where students can feel connected to the school.
