You're Invited!

Community University
Please join us on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6-7pm for two Community University Classes! Following are the descriptions of the two classes:

Microsoft PowerPoint- Learn the basics of Power Point and walk away with tips to enhance your presentations. Taught by Intervention Specialist, Marsha Tilford in the GLHS Tech Center.

Facebook 101: This class addresses the real-world impact of Facebook and provides a clear understanding of how to identify and apply Facebook’s basic, advanced, and hidden privacy settings. Class is taught by GLHS Orchestra Director, Kevin Dengel in the GLHS Library Media Center.
Please join us for either of these classes to help you enhance your presentations or to better understand how and why to use Facebook. The facilitators are very knowledgeable and will answer your questions. Also, to get updates about GLHS in a timely manner, you can follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!
GJPS 2012 State of the Schools Address
The annual Gahanna-Jefferson State of the Schools address will be held at Clark Hall Monday, February 6, 2012 from 7:00-8:30 p.m.  In addition to Superintendent Mark White and Treasurer Julio Valladares providing a brief overview of district achievements and goals, there will be a breakout session for the community to share (in small groups) what they want in the next superintendent. You are encouraged to attend.
Gahanna TV and VP Joe Biden
It’s still hard to believe that the Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, Education Secretary, Arne Duncan, and Senator Sherrod Brown visited with us a couple of weeks ago! It truly was an exciting experience for our school community.
If you were not able to attend to hear Vice President Joe Biden’s speech, you can see it in its entirety on Gahanna TV . You can also watch the Town Hall style question and answer session with Vice President, Joe Biden and Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan by clicking here. Enjoy your weekend!
Be Great,
Dwight
